Our insider’s guide to the best beaches in Corfu, including the top beaches for swimming, snorkelling, diving, walking, secluded and relaxation:

Agni Bay

Located on the pretty North East Coast, this gem of a bay is one Corfu’s best kept secrets. Crystal clear water; perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Sun beds are available on the beach; free if you use one of the 3 excellent tavernas in the bay. The road down to the bay is narrow (with a small parking area at bottom). If you have elderly or disabled, the road does go right to the beach, however, there is no parking, so only a drop off is possible.  Due to the road access, most people arrive to Agni Bay via a rental boat (no license is required) or via the boat taxis that operate from the surrounding bays.

Kalamaki Beach

Beautiful sand and shallow; you can walk out far and still only be ankle deep! As the water is shallow, it warms quicker than any other beach on Corfu, so definitely head here early in April and May or October as the sea is warm. There is parking, close to the beach and several inexpensive tavernas offering traditional food.

Beautiful sand dunes and seclusion make this a popular destination for nudists! That said, the beach itself served as a location James Bond in For Your Eyes Only: His white Lotus emerging from the sea onto the beach before disappearing into the nearbyolive groves!
