Our Destinations - Punta Prima

The calm beach town of Punta Prima, which is only 20 minutes' drive from Mahon's city, is perfect for both families and couples. The large beach, which has soft sand and shallow water, provides fantastic views of the Isle Del Aire, which is close off the shore. There are several fantastic eateries with sea views along a promenade that goes beside the sandy beaches. The Cami des Cavalls bridle trail, which circles the entire island and provides breathtaking views, is easily accessible to walkers.

Local shops, markets & bars

There are three small markets in the resort that offer a wide variety of goods for your vacation, and a larger supermarket is located 10 minutes' drive outside of San Luis. In the summer, Punta Prima hosts a weekly craft market that is great for finding gifts to take home. Along the cobblestone lanes, there are a ton of boutiques and businesses. A promenade lined with restaurants and cafes, many of which have wonderful sea views, runs parallel to the beach. Fresh seafood, traditional Spanish fare, as well as global selections like pizza or steaks, are all readily available.

Beaches in Punta Prima

The lovely Isle Del Aire lighthouse, which is located on a small island slightly offshore, can be seen clearly from the expansive stretch of fine white sand on the Punta Prima beach. With a lifeguard on duty throughout the peak season and a watersports facility offering kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, this beach is excellent for families. The charming cove of Alcaufar, which offers breathtaking sea views, is a worthwhile 40-minute walk away if you're feeling energetic.

Things to do in Punta Prima

Just outside of Punta Prima lies the Splash waterpark, a fantastic place to cool off and amuse the whole family. For the smaller kids, there are beautiful pirate ship play areas, lazy rivers, and waterslides.The picturesque fishing community of Binibeca Vell, which has a very Spanish flair, is only ten minutes' drive from Punta Prima. Explore the cobblestone streets or go for an afternoon treat at the ice cream shop. The second-deepest natural harbor in the world is located in Mahon, the island's capital. You can book a glass-bottom boat tour or have dinner in one of the many establishments here while admiring the amazing yachts. If you feel like some retail therapy, there are also some fantastic trendy stores.
